After 40 years, St Louis, Missouri store, Creve Coeur Camera is going out of business.
I remember working with Creve Coeur during my days working at Mack Worldwide Warranty so it’s sad to see the company close their doors.
With this bad news, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. For one, they’re having a huge going out of business sale. Everything in the entire store is for sale.
Additionally, their school will remain open to teach. Here is their note on that:
The School of Imaging and our fantastic photo trips will continue.
The School of Imaging, now called St. Louis School of Imaging, will continue to teach classes, one-on-one’s, travel and have photo walks…watch for more announcements!
So as you can see, they’re only closing the retail store and not the education side of their business.
The official announcement can be found on their Facebook page, which I will keep linked here as long as their page stays alive. You can read it here.
Now I have a question for you.
What store will you be shopping in while in St Louis? Comment and let us know, or stop in and ask them to participate in Photo Idō. Let’s keep them in business by supporting a local store rather than a big box store.
